City canvassing almost done
With 176 of the 188 election returns tallied, the City Board of
Canvassers is expected to proclaim the winners any time this afternoon.
The last ER was delivered to the BOC only early this morning.
Lim, Montes keeps lead
Dan Lim leads the city mayoralty race after unofficial tallies in
165 precincts by 5:00pm May 11. Nuevas Montes is already the runaway

Lim leads Torralba, Cabalit
Mayoralty candidate Dan Lim leads the 4 other candidates in partial/unofficial
canvassing of 21 precincts in the city. First ballot box from Prec. 11B
arrives at the City Hall and the City Board of Canvassers at around
12:15am, May 11, 2004. Counting
begins.
Counting of votes cast officially started in most precincts in the
city. Election situation in the province and the city is very peaceful.

Casting of votes which started at 7:00 am is now closed at 3:00

fine, denies stroke rumor
City Mayoralty candidate Jorge Cabalit in an interview over DYRD
denied rumors sent thru text message that he had a stroke early
this morning. [May 10, 2:45pm] COMELEC launches "40 days of Prayer for H.O.P.E.
(Honest, Orderly and Peaceful Elections)" at the Manila Cathedral
